Constance M. Schatz | 58

February 10, 1966 - May 18, 2024

Constance M. “Connie” Schatz, 58, of 314 Shady Grove Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 18, 2024.

She was born February 10, 1966 in St. Marys, daughter of Robert “Andy” and Elizabeth “Betty” Young Anderson.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1984.

On October 31, 1992, in the Queen of the World Church, Connie married Steven P. Schatz, who survives.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she is survived by her two children, who she adored, Elizabeth “Beth” Schatz and Brad Schatz.  She is also survived by two sisters, Christine Anderson and Carol Hujar (Ralph); four brothers: Mike (Karen), Russell (Marcy), Matthew, and Jason Anderson; mother-in-law, Karen Schatz; many nieces and nephews; and her brothers and sisters-in-law: Patrick Schatz (Tammy), Gary Schatz (Sheri), and Robert Schatz. 

She was preceded in death by a son in infancy, Daniel, a sister, Yvonne Anderson, and her father-in-law, Robert Schatz.

Connie was devout Christian who had great faith in Jesus Christ.  She enjoyed Gospel music and the simple pleasures of life.  She loved her husband and children very much as well as her two dogs, Jerry and George.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, May, 23, 2024 at 10:30AM with Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, celebrating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.

  2. I knew Connie when I worked with Beth and Brad. She was a wonderful Mom who always put her children first. She had a great personality and was always kind to others.
