Shirley A. Rupprecht

October 7, 1932 — February 25, 2026

Shirley A. Rupprecht, 93, of 430 Washington Street, St. Marys, went to heaven to be with Jesus on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. She spent her last months and days at the homes of her children receiving the loving care this incredible mother deserved. She passed with family by her side.

She was born October 7, 1932, in Toby, the daughter of Eugene and Helen Trumbull Hollobaugh. She was a lifelong resident of the area.

On July 26, 1952, she married the love of her life Jim Rupprecht who preceded her in death September 25, 2023. Together they shared 71 years of marriage.

Shirley is survived by her children: Rick (Cheryl) Rupprecht of Ashville, NY, Sandra Miller and Mark (Annette) Rupprecht of St. Marys, and Joe (Renee) Rupprecht of Weedville; grandchildren: Tim (Erica) and Greg (Shelly) Shine, Jennifer (Jason) Figured, JJ (Carolyn), David (Lisa), and Angie Miller, Stephen and Haley Rupprecht, Jeff (Brandy) Miller, and Belinda (Rod) Dinsmore; 22 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; also survived by one sister, Dorothy Firster of North East, PA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law Dale Miller and seven siblings.

Shirley and Jim always wanted celebrations to be "family only" but they were both so well-known and loved in the community that parties usually had many friends in attendance. Shirley was a stay-at-home housewife until the four children were on their own. Together Shirley and Jim modeled a loving and faith-based family and taught their children important life lessons including hard work. She was frequently found in a Cinch game, not because she enjoyed it, but because she knew Jim enjoyed it. She was always supportive of any and all activities her family was involved in. In later years she often worked as an in-home caregiver.
