Willis R. “Willie” Detsch, 74, of 106 Hayes Road, Kersey, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his residence.

He was born May 17, 1947, in Erie, and was a retired employee of SGL Carbon.

On July 31, 2004, in Kersey, Willie married Arline F. Snyder, who preceded him in death on April 25, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Atkeson and her husband Tom of St. Marys; his son, William Wonderly of Brockport; two grandchildren: Ashley Woods and Michael Pesce; and by one great-grandchild, Bohannon Desaw.

Willie was a member of the PFL Club. He enjoyed joking around and sitting around the campfire. Willie took great care of his wife, Arline.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral and committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
