William L. Vargesko, Jr., 61, of 77 Whitney Creek Road, Coudersport, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at UPMC Magee Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
He was born April 11, 1960, in Pittsburgh, son of the late William L. Vargesko, Sr. and Eileen Corns Vargesko, who survives of Penn Hills. William grew up in Penn Hills and was a graduate of Penn Hills High School. He resided for many years in the Benezette area and for the past six years he had been a resident of Coudersport.
William was a former employee of Fairview Sintered Metals (GKN) and more recently had been an employee of Morgan AM&T in Coudersport. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was an excellent cook.
On February 5, 1988, in St. Marys, William married Melissa “Mitzi” Enterline, who preceded him in death on August 24, 2010.
In addition to his mother, Eileen Vargesko, William is survived by his two daughters: Tina Pistner and her husband Michael and Amy Lion and her husband Rob, both of St. Marys; four grandchildren: Olivia Pistner, Isabella Pistner, Wes Lion, and Noah Lion; his sister, Traci Melton and her husband Chris of New Mexico; his brother, Jeffrey Vargesko of Export, PA; and by his niece, Megan Cullers; and two nephews: Tyler Cullers and Brian Vargesko.
Besides his wife and father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Vargesko, in infancy; and by his brother, James Vargesko.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral and committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
