Willard M. Bush, Sr., 73, of 533 Center Street and formerly of East Stroudsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born December 10, 1952, in East Stroudsburg, son of the late William and Mary Cruver Bush. On November 12, 1970, in Stroudsburg, Will married Linda Counterman, who survives. They were blessed to share fifty-five years of marriage.
In addition to his loving wife, Will is survived by a daughter, Willane Bryant (Ben) of Weedville; three sons: Daniel Bush (Melissa) of St. Marys, Willard Bush, Jr. (Tanya) of East Stroudsburg, and Dustin Bush (Steffanie) of East Stroudsburg; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Laura Keiper (Jeff) of North Carolina and Sarah Johnson (Dockhaven) of East Stroudsburg; two brothers: Bruce Bush (Lona) of Buffalo Mills and Stanley Bush (Marion) of Stroudsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori, in infancy and two sisters, Roberta Hamilton and Margaret Bowman.
A loving family man, devoted friend, and good neighbor, he will be remembered for his generous heart and genuine interest in the people around him. He enjoyed a good debate about social issues and never shied away from sharing his thoughts or listening to another point of view.
He believed in giving back to his community and volunteered his time to causes that mattered to him. He held a special place in his heart for the East Stroudsburg Youth Association, where his dedication and support touched many lives.
Will also knew how to have a good time, especially when a microphone and a karaoke song were involved. His laughter, friendship, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of Will’s life will be held in the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 1:00PM until 3:00PM.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the East Stroudsburg Youth Association, 9 Day Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
