Wanda Y. Hedlund

Wanda Y. Hedlund, 77, of 113 Erie Avenue, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Penn Highlands Elk.

She was born November 4, 1944, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel Ward Willow.  Wanda was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1962 and resided in the area most of her life.

On March 30, 2019, in Decker’s Chapel, Wanda married Richard A. Hedlund, who survives.

She is also survived by her daughter: Phaedra Steele of Johnsonburg; two sons: Richard Smith of St. Marys and Stuart Smith (Jane) of Arizona; by ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wanda was a free spirit and very creative.  She was an artist who liked to garden and enjoyed life.

There will be no visitation.

Memorial services will be held at a future date.
