Wanda L. Halloran

Wanda L. Halloran, 79, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home in St. Marys, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Penn Highlands Elk.

She was born January 5, 1943, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Norman Sennett and LaVonne (Greene) Herzing.

On June 16, 1964, in the Sacred Heart Church, Wanda married the late John C. Halloran, who preceded her in death on July 9, 2019.

She is survived by three sons: John M. Halloran and his wife Lori of Albany, OR, David B. Halloran and his wife Margaret of Fallon, NV, and Patrick J. Halloran and his wife Debra Totten of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren: Carissa, Michael, Trevor, and Lauren Halloran; and by her siblings, Jim Sennett and Cheryl Pistner.

Wanda, her husband John, and family moved a number of times across the nation, benefiting from John’s career in the automotive and television industries with experiences in Buffalo, Cincinnati, Colorado Springs, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and finally planting roots in Phoenix.  Upon retirement, John and Wanda made their way back home to St. Marys.  Wanda, a beautician by trade, first opened her shop in Kersey.  Upon marriage, and moving to multiple cities, she continued her work providing services to friends, family, and customers along the way, concluding in St. Marys prior to her stay in Elk Haven.  Wanda, a member of numerous charities, volunteered her time to church, charity, and school related services.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral and committal services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, next to her husband John C. Halloran.
