Steven F. Mackcoviak, 70, of 148 Meadowlark Lane, Kersey, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer for the past 21 years.
He was born May 31, 1951 in Ridgway, son of the late Michael F. and Waneta C. Shaffer Mackcoviak. Steve was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1971. He retired from Sylvania after over 40 years of service to the company.
He is survived by three daughters: Krista Gerg (Evan) of St. Marys, Stephanie King (Michael) of Castle Rock, CO, and Jessica Erickson (Joshua) of St. Marys; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his former wife, Teddi Farr Mackcoviak; and by his faithful dog, Boo.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his dog, Sasha.
Steve was a member of the St. Boniface Church where he took great pride in being an usher for the church. He was a member of the Wilcox American Legion and the St. Marys Moose Club. He loved his Harley Davidsons, was an avid hunter, and was a tremendous artist-a talent and passion that he shared with his children and grandchildren. He had an astounding wit about him and simply loved his family above anything else.
There will be no visitation.
