Stefen John “Jack” Holjencin, 67, of 361 Main Street, Kersey, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at his residence.
He was born April 24, 1951, in St. Marys, son of the late John J. Holjencin and Mary Hau Holjencin, who survives of Kersey. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1969. Jack was a retired employee of the T. K. Kronenwetter Machine Shop.
On May 29, 1971, in the St. Mary’s Church, Jack married Lorraine M. Meyer, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, John S. Holjencin and his wife Melissa, and Jerome Joseph “Joey” Holjencin, both of Kersey; two grandsons, Landon and Ryan Holjencin; and by a brother, William “Bob” Holjencin and his wife Donna of Kersey.
In addition to his father, Jack was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Holjencin.
Jack was a member of the St. Boniface Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he especially enjoyed birdwatching with his grandson, Ryan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeff Noble officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the St. Boniface Church Gathering Space on Monday from 11:00 until 12:00 PM.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity.
