Sharon L. Geyer, 65, born October 4, 1952, in St. Marys, PA, passed away peacefully at Pinecrest Manor on Tuesday, February 20, 2018. She was the daughter of Phillip “Snitz” and Gertrude (Seifert) Geyer. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She graduated from St. Marys Area High School and previously employed by St. Marys Carbon.
Born with Spina Bifida, which affected her health, Sharon was able to lead a strong and self-sufficient life for the majority of her life. She loved parties and family get-togethers. She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, and listening to music, especially her idol, “Elvis”. She enjoyed riding her scooter around town and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Sharon is survived by her mother; three sisters, Karen (William) Nichol, Marcy (Rodney) Sanford, and Julia (Ray) Meehan; four brothers, William (Donna) Geyer, Phillip “Flip” (Rose) Geyer, David “Randy” Geyer, and Christopher (Cynthia) Geyer; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; and by a brother-in-law, Raymond Meehan.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
