Rose Marie Secco, 87, of Bennetts Valley Highway, Weedville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at her home.
She was born March 24, 1930, in Cardiff, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Kesti Zambanini. She was a graduate of Bennetts Valley High School and was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company, retiring in 1992, after 43 years of service.
On July 23, 1955, in the St. Joseph Church in Force, Rose Marie married Arnold E. “Archie” Secco, who preceded her in death on February 21, 2015.
She is survived by two daughters, Maryanne Swisher and her husband R. Mark of DuBois and Roxanne Campbell and her husband George of Luthersburg, PA; a son, Richard S. “Rick” Secco of Weedville; six grandchildren, Matthew Swisher, Leanne Kontur, Douglas Swisher, Adam Swisher, Kayle Campbell, and Brooke Campbell; five great grandchildren, Nicolas Swisher, Julian Swisher, Sadie Swisher, Elliott Kontur, and Finley Kontur; and by two brothers, Arthur Zambanini and his wife Genevieve and Leno Zambanini and his wife Rachel, both of Force.
In addition to her husband and parents, Rose Marie was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Angelina Zambanini, at birth.
Rose Marie was a member of the St. Joseph Church in Force and the Quarter Century Club of Stackpole Carbon.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held in the St. Joseph Church on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Mark Mastrian, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
