Rosalie Mae Glatt

Rosalie Mae Glatt, 73, of 20 Mertz Avenue, St. Marys, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 1, 1938 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Ralph N. and Ruth St. John Dorio.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1956.

On February 2, 1957 in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, she married Andrew Glatt who preceded her in death on September 12, 1995.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruthanne Herzing (Michael J.) of Harrisburg, Barbara J. Sicheri (Kenneth) of St. Marys, Rita M. Bille (Todd) of St. Marys; four sons, James A. Glatt (Shirl) of Ridgway, Ralph B. Glatt of DuBois, Paul A. Glatt (Sharon) of Kersey, Michael J. Glatt (Karen) of Bridgeport, WV; eight grandchildren, Erica Paul, Elissa Glatt, Ben Glatt, Joshua Herzing, Mitchell Bille, Ryan Bille, Ayana Sicheri, Sabella Sicheri; one sister, Greta Eckert (Wilfred “Buck”) of St. Marys; and special nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Ardith Hunt, Sheila Myer, Marguerite Stelene, Carmella Mikulski; and by three brothers, Nick, James, and Ralph Dorio.

Rosalie was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, the Elk County Cursillo Movement, and the St. Marys Church Rosary Altar Society. She worked the funeral dinners for St. Mary’s Church and she loved to cook and gather people for dinner. Rosalie wants everyone to trust and believe in God.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson OSB, pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Christmas Day Happening Dinner, c/o County National Bank, 133 Washington Street, St. Marys, PA  15857 or to a favorite charity.
