Robert L. Sewell, Sr., 56, of 662 Washington St., St. Marys, died Saturday, November 26, 2011 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born August 25, 1945 in Panama City, FL, son of the late Louis E. and Ruth Fields Sewell. He was employed as a mechanic and attended schools in Panama City. He had resided in St. Marys for the past three years.
On August 19, 1976, in Alabama, he married Patricia A. Taylor, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Robert L. Sewell, Jr. of St. Marys; four grandchildren, Alex, Zach, Jackie, and Nathan Sewell; and by a niece, Chandler Kirby of Pensacola, FL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.
Mr. Sewell served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral and Committal services for Robert L. Sewell, Sr. will be held at the convenience of the family.
