Robert F. “Boston Bob” Alix, 80, of Ridgway, PA and formerly of Boston, MA, died suddenly on Monday, October 3, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 14, 1931 in Boston, MA.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Theresa (Keane) of Connemara, Ireland. He was a loving father to his daughter, Susie Alix Howard and her husband Tommy Howard of Charlestown, MA; “brother” and lifelong friend to Paul O’Sullivan and his wife Josephine of Millis, MA.
He was a US Army veteran, having served in the Korean War and was a longtime employee of the Howes Leather Company in Boston and Ridgway. Bob’s life was richly blessed by his many friends in Ridgway and is survived by his buddy, Jerry Krise and his wife Peggy of Ridgway.
