She was born May 27, 1960, in Ridgway, daughter of the late James and Shirley Lyle Sheeley. She was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1978, and a retired employee of Keystone Carbon Company.
On September 14, 1985, in St. Boniface Church, Patricia married the love of her life, David A. Walker, who survives. They shared a love that was sincere and unwavering, built on companionship, laughter, and mutual respect.
In addition to her loving husband, Patty is survived by three sisters: Jamie Sidelinger of Kersey, Amy Gorton (Robert) of Dagus Mines, and Lisa Feidler of St. Marys; a brother, Timothy Sheeley of Dagus Mines; four nephews and a niece: Shawn Gouldthread, Shane Gouldthread, Stephanie Weinzierl, Evan Gorton, and Alex Gorton; two-great nephews: Westin and Ethan Weinzierl; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Gouldthread (Randy) of Weedville.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Timothy Sidelinger.
She will be remembered as a thoughtful and caring woman who always looked out for her family. She shared a special bond with her niece and nephews, especially her “boys”, Westin and Ethan, delighting in taking them camping and creating memories filled with laughter, adventure, and love. She had an eye for beauty-whether expressed through her fondness of jewelry, her enjoyment of shopping, or the care she put into her vegetable garden. Her generosity of spirit, attention to those she loved, and quiet joy in life’s simple pleasures will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
