Patricia A. Nesbitt, 76, of 42 Kennedy Street, Byrnedale, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born January 29, 1937 in Fox Twp., daughter of the late Anthony and Sara Dahlquist Nero. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Bennetts Valley Schools. She was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company and CAPSEA, and she drove school bus for Muccio and Michelini Bus Lines.
On September 1, 1955 in Force, PA, she married David R. Nesbitt, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 18, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Nesbitt at home, Penny VanAlstine and her husband James of Byrnedale; two sons, David Nesbitt, Jr. and his wife Karen of Byrnedale, Kurt Nesbitt of St. Marys; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Nancy Furey and her husband William of Angola, NY, Betty Lynch and her husband Jim of Warren, PA, Mary Anderson of St. Marys, Karen Nero of Kingman, AZ; and two brothers, Anthony Nero and his wife Marty of Waterford, PA and Rory Nero of Erie.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim M. Carpin; and two brothers, Ted Nero and LeRoy Nero.
Mrs. Nesbitt was a member of the Weedville United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Jay Twp. Fire Dept. and served as an EMT for Bennetts Valley Ambulance.
Funeral services will be held in the Weedville United Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Lola Turnbull, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Brandy Camp Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, May 21, 2013, from 5:00 till 8:00 PM.
