Pamela M. Collins

Apr 12, 1933 — Oct 27, 2026

Pamela Mavis (Jones) Collins (93), formerly of Nantwich, England, Murrysville, Pennsylvania, and Lottsburg, Virginia peacefully took leave of her earthly life on Tuesday, October 27th, 2026, while being lovingly cared for at Christ the King Manor in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania.

Pam was born in Dudley, England on April 12th, 1933, the proud daughter of WWI veteran, Fred Jones and Ada Payton Jones. After high school, Pam completed teacher training, and taught early elementary students, following in her mother’s footsteps.

On April 2nd, 1956, Pam married David Collins, and they shared 57 years of shenanigans until David’s passing in 2013. Together they raised three children; Nicholas (Dianne) of Tal-y-Bont, Wales, Anthony (Sue), of Alsager, England, and Kate McGonnell (Jimmy) of Saint Marys, Pennsylvania.

In January 1981, Pam made the brave move to the United States with David and Kate, leaving Nick and Anthony in England to complete their education. After learning that her English teaching certificate was not valid in the US, Pam worked to obtain her real estate license, and soon after, her broker’s license. She enjoyed a successful career in real estate, especially appreciating the friendships she made along the way.

Pam had many interests, and was always ready to learn more, especially about history or nature. She enjoyed playing and watching tennis and golf, playing bridge, and she loved hiking, gardening, reading, singing show tunes, and movies. Most importantly, Pam was Gamma to seven; Rebecca (James), Peter (Krupa), Elizabeth (Jack), Willie (Jen), Jennifer (Liam), Anna (Tiana), and Meghan. Visits with the grands were always spirited and Gamma made it a point to involve herself and learn about their interests. More recently, she became Great-Gamma to Robin, Mabel, Maisie, Hannah, and Emmie.

Pam’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis came in 2021. She was able to stay in her home until 2023 when she moved to Pennsylvania, and eventually to Christ the King Manor. Even in the late stages of the disease, Pam remained cheerful, kind, and she never forgot her manners. In her last days, when her awareness was waning, hearing Miss Emmie call her “Gamma” brought the loveliest of smiles.

Pam was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Roger Jones. She is survived by her children, grand and great-grandchildren, her brother, Martin Jones, sister-in-law, Jennifer Jones, nephew and niece, Nigel and Ema, great-nephews, Sam and Ben, and great-niece, Ada. Pam’s loss is felt deeply, and she is dearly missed.
