Norma J. Farr, 90, of 251 North Michael Street, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Elk Haven Nursing Home, after a brief illness.
She was born November 15, 1925, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Bernard and Caroline Erich Wright. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Parochial School.
On January 1, 1949, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Joseph F. Farr, who preceded her in death on August 25, 2005.
Norma is survived by two daughters, Linda Chicola of St. Marys and Jolene “Teddi” Mackcoviak (Butch Kyler) of St. Marys; six grandchildren including Krista Bish, Stephanie King (Mike), and Jessica Erickson (Josh), who were very close to her. Also surviving are five great grandchildren, Gena-Lin Bish, William Erickson, Joely Titchner, Gweneth Erickson, and Winnie King.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Farr III, who passed away in infancy on April 14, 1950; four sisters, Thelma Weis, Charlotte Valentine, Eleanor Aker, and Caroline McClain; and by five brothers, Alvin, Eugene, Jerome, Clarence, and Richard Wright. She was the last member of her family.
Norma was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and she enjoyed her beloved cat “Whiskers”.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
