Neil A. Mahoney

Neil Anthony Mahoney, Sr., 68, entered into rest on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Middletown Home.

Neil was born December 11, 1956, in DuBois, PA. He was the son of the late Lyal Mahoney and Lioba (Groll) Mahoney Nichols. He was a 1974 graduate of Elk County Christian High School, a graduate of Penn State University, and retired from XL Logistics in York, PA.

He was a long-standing member of The Vikings Athletic Association, The Prince Athletic Association, the Thirteenth Ward Political Club, and the Rooster Social Club. He enjoyed playing golf, socializing with his friends, and sharing his love of music with everyone he met; he was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

Neil is survived by his children, Neil (Sophie) Mahoney II, and Chamberly Mahoney; grandchildren, Aurora, Coraline, and Blaise; sisters, Patricia Mahoney, Linda Smith, and Lori (Jim) Schreiber; and brother, Keith (Marsha) Mahoney; his previous spouse, Tina Mahoney; along with several nieces and nephews; and was preceded in death by his brother Blaine.

Neil’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family will hold a celebration of life in York, PA, on October 25, 2025, location to be determined. A Mass of Christian Burial, honoring his memory will be held in St. Marys, PA, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10:00AM in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
