Michael S. Murgash, 63, of 124 Weld Cemetery Road, Coalport, and formerly of St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, October 3, 2021, at his residence.
He was born October 8, 1957, in St. Marys, son of the late Stephen and Donna Armanini Murgash. Mike grew up in Kersey, was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1975, and was a graduate of Penn State University. After college, Mike moved to California for several years and returned back to the area in 1995. He was self-employed as a contractor, specializing in concrete work.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Murgash (Amy) and Jay Murgash (Shannon) both of Clearfield; three grandchildren: Wesley, Joey, and Jet; one sister: Marlene Stubber (David) of St. Marys; his girlfriend: Darlene Gregiore of Coalport; and by four nieces and nephews: Stephanie Distler (Andrew), Franchesca Herzing (Eric), Justin Stubber (Rachel), and Scott Stubber.
Mike enjoyed his work. He was proud of his accomplishment to be named the number one concrete contractor in the State College area. He was a hard worker but would always have time for his family, especially his grandchildren. He pulled for the Raiders and was a true Penn State fan.
