Mary Beth Squires, 60, of 123 Edward Road, St. Marys, passed away Monday, December 26, 2016, at Penn Highlands Elk, after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 3, 1956, in St. Marys, daughter of the late William and Marie Erich Squires. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1974. Mary Beth was an employee of Metal Powder Products.
She is survived by a brother, Thomas J. Squires and his wife Mary of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Gerda Squires of St. Marys; seven nieces and nephews, Bill Squires, Tim Squires, Shawn Squires, Angela Tyger, Chris Squires, Jason Squires, and Karen Squires; and 10 great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by countless friends and aunts and uncles, including Betty Taylor, whom she was especially close with.
In addition to her parents, Mary Beth was preceded in death by a brother, John T. Squires.
Mary Beth was a member of the St. Mary’s Church and the American Legion. She enjoyed bowling, shooting darts, going camping, and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 9:30 until 10:30 AM.
