Mary Ann Quagliani

March 18, 2013 — April 5, 1930

Mary Ann Quagliani, 82, of 172 Burning Well Road, Kane, and formerly of 110 Homestead Road, Kersey, passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Kane Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born April 5, 1930 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Fred and Martha Renwick Bayer.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Schools.

On June 27, 1959 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Isadore J. Quagliani who preceded her in death on September 22, 1969.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Morgan and her husband Scott of Kane, with whom she made her home, two sons, Steven C. Quagliani and his wife Anita of Mechanicsburg, PA and Dennis J. Quagliani and his wife Marcie of Rancho Mirage, CA; 10 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Quagliani, who died at birth; two brothers, Donald Bayer and Fred Bayer; and three half-sisters, Peggy Hanes, Annette Bayer and Connie Lyle.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Quagliani was a member of the St. Boniface Church.  She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.

Due to the renovation of the St. Boniface Church, family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Vince Cieslewicz, Pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Mt. Jewett, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 403, St. Marys, PA  15857, the Lutheran Home in Kane, 100 High Point Drive, Kane, PA  16735, or to a favorite charity.
