Mary Ann Dollinger, 91, a resident of Fox Manor and formerly of Taylor Street, Kersey, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born February 2, 1935, in St. Marys, daughter of the late George and Mary Hasselman Hassenetter. She was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Central Catholic High School, and a former employee at Keystone Carbon Company, where she retired in 1997.
On October 8, 1960, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mary Ann married the late Willis “Wink” R. Dollinger, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2006.
She is survived by two daughters: Jean Luchini (Michael) of Morrow, OH and Cindy Franklin (Jeffrey) of Jamestown, NY; her son, David Dollinger (Justine “Dusty”) of Kersey; five grandchildren: Marisa Passerrello (Jeff), Michael Dollinger (May), Michelle Jefferson (Kyle), Chelsie Luchini, and Hannah Franklin; and three great-grandchildren: Ayden, Adalyn, and Zoe.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Stauffer. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
She was a faithful and active member of her parish community, generously giving her time and talents over the years. She volunteered at St. Boniface School and was especially dedicated to helping with bereavement dinners, offering comfort and support to families during difficult times. She enjoyed her time helping with the rectory bookkeeping, focusing on accuracy and precision in the counting of donations. Her kindness and quiet acts of service touched many lives.
She was also a member of the St. Boniface Rosary Society and the Fox Township Senior Center, where she formed lasting friendships and remained actively involved in her community.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo, participating in water aerobics, reading, and working on crossword puzzles. She was a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates, rarely missing a game and always cheering them on.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, her strong faith, and her unwavering dedication to others.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 10:00AM in the St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Rev. Christopher Beran, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Per Mary Ann’s request there will be no visitation.
