Marie G. Ginther, 66, of 244 Fairview Road, Kersey, passed away while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the Clearfield Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born July 1, 1947 in St. Marys, daughter of the late John “Buddy” Gradl and Georgia Beimel Gradl, who survives of Kersey. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1965. She was also a graduate of the Bradford School of Nursing. She retired from the Elk Regional Health Center after 35 years of service.
On October 10, 1970, in the St. Boniface Church, she married David F. Ginther, who survives. She is also survived by two sons, Adam Ginther at home and Aaron Ginther and his wife Julie of Kersey; two granddaughters, Amelia and Alicia Ginther; and a brother, George Gradl and his wife Judy of Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Ginther was a member of the St. Boniface Church, the Rosary Society, the St. Boniface Church Choir and Bereavement Committee. She was very active in her church and her faith. She also loved to cook and bake, especially desserts, and she enjoyed gaming.
Due to the renovation of the St. Boniface Church, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, August 26, 2013, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday, August 25, 2013, from 5:00 till 8:00 PM.
