Margaret L. Mishenko, 88, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Johnsonburg, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Elk Haven.
She was born February 19, 1930, in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Steve and Anna Kasaback Mishenko. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Holy Rosary School. Margaret was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Corporation of Johnsonburg with 25 years of service, and was a retired employee of the Keystone Carbon Company, retiring with 28 years of service.
She is survived by three sisters, Julia Hulings of Clarendon, PA, Marie Biel of Johnsonburg, and Delores Padasak of St. Marys.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Mishenko.
Margaret enjoyed bowling and was good-hearted and helped everyone she met. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. David Wilson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
