Mabel S. Riccadonna, 90, a resident of Silver Creek Terrace and formerly of Armory Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born March 20, 1922 in Cardiff, PA, daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Calliari Serafini. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Weedville Schools. She was a retired employee of the Stackpole Carbon Corporation.
On November 4, 1939 in the St. Joseph’s Church in Force, she married Carlo Riccadonna who preceded her in death on June 25, 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice A. (John) Dunkle of Great Falls, VA; two sons, Guido J. (Phyllis) Riccadonna of St. Marys and Ronald C. (Theresa) of Masury, OH; seven grandchildren, Wendy Dziurzynski, Stephanie Shapiro, Laurie Lewis, Karen Riccadonna Thomas, Carl Riccadonna, Ronald Riccadonna, Jr. and Mark Riccadonna; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Agnes (John) Winkler of Penfield; and two brothers, Leno Serafini of DuBois and Irvin (Anna) Serafini of Kersey.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Guido Serafini.
Mrs. Riccadonna was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday, July 22, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
