Louis J. Agosti, 83, of 448 North Michael Street, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Penn Highlands Elk, after an illness of the past several months.
He was born March 18, 1932, in Dagus Mines, son of the late Luigi and Lena Petrini Agosti. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey schools. He was a retired employee of St. Marys Precision Homes and was a partner in S & L Vinyl Deck and Fence.
On June 1, 1957, in the St. Mary’s Church, he married Marlene L. Laird, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Steven Agosti and his wife Judy of St. Marys; a granddaughter, Chelsea Agosti; a sister, Genevieve Cavalline of Dagus Mines; a brother, Charles Agosti of Dagus Mines; and by a niece and several nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Struble.
Louis was a member of the AGAPE` Assembly of God Church and was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Army.
There will be no visitation.
A Private Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home with Pastor Edward Carocci officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity.
