LouAnn Lecker

LouAnn Lecker, 72, of 1071 Theresia Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born November 30, 1953, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Louis “Manny” and Alberta Caskey Chiappelli, Jr.

She was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1971, committed the majority of her working career at C/G Electrodes, where she retired.

On June 4, 2010, in Pittsburgh, LouAnn married David E. Lecker, who survives.  Though the years of marriage ended too soon, the love they created for each other will not.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Richard Gustafson of St. Marys; three step-daughters: Crystal Lecker of St. Marys, Angela McCabe and Denise Griffith (Jeff) both of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; three sisters: Diane Gillen (David) of Kersey, Joann Hetrick (David) of St. Marys, and Mary Ann Feldbauer (David) of St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Paula Chiappelli of St. Marys; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, LouAnn was preceded in death by Richard’s father, Donald “Buzzy” Gustafson and by three brothers, Louis Chiappelli, III, and Jeffrey and Joseph Chiappelli in infancy.

She had a special place in her heart for dogs, finding joy in their loyalty, comfort in their presence, and purpose in caring for them. Sharing quiet moments with her faithful companions brought her great joy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 10:00AM with Rev. Ignatius Camello, O.S.B., celebrating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
