Leslie R. Neal

Feb 7, 1969 — Oct 21, 2026

Leslie R. Neal, 57, of 164 Neubert Street, St. Marys, passed away with her family by her side Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

She was born February 7, 1969 in North Tonawanda, NY, daughter of the late Robert D. and Gail Starkweather Neal. She was a graduate of North Tonawanda High School, Class of 1987 and continued her studies at Niagara Community College, where she earned her degree. Leslie is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp and continued her service to her country as Director of Elk County Veteran Affairs. She assisted veterans and the county for twenty years until her retirement.

On March 16, 2019, in St. Marys, Leslie married Steven Caskey. Although their time together was far too short, they treasured the seventeen years they shared together.

In addition to her loving husband, Leslie is survived by two daughters: Cynthia Glatt and Malena Caskey; one son, Joseph Davis; ten grandchildren: Dominic, Jace, Kianna, Aleighah, Marilena, Noah, Ensley, Jeremiah, Violet, and Scotty; four brothers: Robert Neal, Brian Neal, Jack Shaw, and Justin Shaw; a brother-in-law, Frank Roller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her birth parents, she was preceded in death by her second mother, Cynthia Neal; a son, Steven Glatt; her sister, Lori Roller; and a brother, Shawn Neal.

She thoroughly enjoyed spending time at camp with her family and fur babies, listening to live music, or attending concerts. She loved taking rides and viewing the beautiful scenery.

One of her favorite ways to fulfill her time was by helping the veterans of her community, and spoiling her grandchildren who meant the world to her.

She loved God, and served him well by living by His words. She selflessly opened her heart, home, and time to anyone in need, and loved them all as family. A celebration of Leslie’s life will be held at a future date to be announced.
