Lawrence G. Billotte, 60, of 125 ½ Wehler Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born September 18, 1956, in Canandaigua, NY, son of the late Wilferd and Elsie Jopson Billotte. He was a graduate of Austin High School, in Austin, PA, Class of 1975, and had been a resident of St. Marys since 2001. He was an employee of Innovative Sintered Metals.
On September 18, 2010, in the Queen of the World Church, he married Margaret O’Hern Nero, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer Marzella and her husband Matt of Turtlepoint; two sons, Larry Billotte, Jr and Christopher Billotte, both of St. Marys; five grandchildren, Morgan Billotte, Gaven Studer, Kiley Billotte, Colton Billotte, and Owen Marzella; three sisters, Connie Kerr of Houtzdale, Michelle Kahl and her husband Stu of Curwensville, and Marietta Frances of Walworth, NY; and by a brother, Michael Billotte of Bethany, OK.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kristy Kay Houghtaling, who passed away November 11, 1997; and by a step-brother, Ron Billotte.
Larry was a member of the Queen of the World Church. He served as an officer in the US Marines and was stationed in Okinawa and Seattle, WA. Hunting and spending time at his camp were his absolute passion along with loving and adoring his wife Maggie. He loved riding his Can-Am and was an avid Pirates and Raiders Fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 12:00 PM. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Burial will follow in Ott Cemetery in Ridgway.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.
