Joseph A. Newton

Joseph A. Newton, Kersey, Pa. passed away July 11, 2026 at home with his family by his side.

Joe and his wife, Carolyn, together for 45 years, were happily married with 7 children: Brian (Dee) Newton, Lynn (Dave) Summerson, Ben (Tara) Newton, Tom (Melissa) Vislay, Heidi (Abby) Aikens, Aaron Newton, and Rhonda (Jerry) Mason; nearly all in the immediate area; 27 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and “they are all great!” 😊 He is also survived by his sister, Candy Bauer of Virginia Beach, VA. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Pauline Newton and a baby at birth, Kira.

Memorial Services will be held at the Emporium Firehall, 419 N. Broad Street, Emporium, PA 15834 on August 1, 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Fox Township Fire Dept, 381 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 and Fox Township Ambulance, 432 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846.
