Jeanette C. Uhl

Jeanette C. Uhl, of Franklin, PA passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025 at UPMC Hamot in Erie.  She was born on March 11, 1969 in Saint Marys, daughter of the late George and Marie Uhl.

Jeanette was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1987.  She then studied at Pennsylvania State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering in 1991.  After graduation she began working for PennDOT, where she has been employed for the past 35 years, currently as a Design Project Manager.

Jeanette is survived by a brother, George (Deb) Uhl and three sisters: Geralyn (Paul) Meleason, Barbara (David) Herman, and Theresa (Kenneth) Fugagli. Also surviving are many devoted nieces and nephews: Matthew Herman (Kim), Kristin Calkins (Ryan), Missy Ferguson (Matt), Paul Meleason, Marie Hornaman (Derek), Samantha Fugagli, Kenneth Fugagli, Michelle Fugagli, Joe Fugagli, and Christopher Uhl, in addition to many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Uhl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00PM in the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 with the Rev. Thomas Curry, O.S.B., celebrating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
