Janet H. Dippold

Janet H. Dippold, 90, of 105 Wilson Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Pinecrest Manor.

She was born March 31, 1935, in St. Marys at her home on Ford Road, daughter of the late Romandus and Mary Nekuza Schreiber.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of St. Marys High School.  She took great pride and joy in her work as cafeteria manager at St. Marys Parochial School, where she retired after thirty-two years.

On May 5, 1956, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Janet married Carl R. Dippold, who survives.  They were blessed to share sixty-nine years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, Janet is survived by her daughters: Lisa Knight (Ray) of St. Marys, Amy Meyer (Jude) of Charleston, SC, and Pamela Lecker of St. Marys; six grandchildren: Lexi and Lucas Knight, Jordyn (Aaron) Griffith, Zack (Sara) Meyer, Joshua (Stacy) Lecker, and Alex Lecker; and two great-grandchildren: Sophia and Matthew Lecker; and a sister-in-law, Marie Schreiber of Paradise, CA.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Clayton Lecker and a brother, Robert Schreiber.

Janet built her life around family, faith, generosity, and a shared meal around the table.  Holidays were her favorite time of year. She was known as “Mama Santa” for all of her gifts during Christmas.  Her home was always filled with comforting aromas and laughter.  Janet cherished going for a ride with Carl and never turned down the opportunity to play a game of Cinch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 12:00PM with Rev. Thomas Curry, O.S.B., celebrating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:30AM until 11:30AM.
