James L. Urbancic, 75, of 202 Badeau Road, Kersey, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
He was born May 8, 1939 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Albert L. and Margaret E. Allinger Urbancic. He was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School and attended Penn State University. He was a retired employee of Metaldyne.
On June 16, 1966 in Kersey, he married Mary Jane Johnson who preceded him in death on May 24, 2011.
He is survived by a daughter, Casey Urbancic of Bloomington, IN; a son, Britt A. Urbancic and his wife Heidi of Elizabethtown, IN; two grandchildren, twins, Greta and Sebastian Urbancic; and a sister, Jeanne Cavalline and her husband Richard of St. Marys.
Mr. Urbancic was a veteran of the US Army.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service for James Urbancic and his wife Mary Jane, who preceded him in death, on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating. Full military rites for Mr. Urbancic will be accorded by the Fox Twp. Servicemen’s Burial Detail.
