Henry L. Arigoni

Henry L. Arigoni, 103, of 384 Main Street, Kersey, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016, at Penn Highlands Elk.

He was born August 10, 1913, in Force, son of the late Frank and Maria Ferrari Arigoni. He was a lifelong resident of the area.  Henry began working as a coal miner and later worked as a Forest Ranger for the Allegheny National Forest.  He went on to retire from the Stackpole Carbon Company in 1978.

On July 29, 1949, in the St. Boniface Church, he married Florence Rita Wildfire, who preceded him in death on April 18, 2013.

Henry is survived by a daughter, Ann Winans and her husband Ken of Independence, VA; three sons, James L. Arigoni and his wife Kathleen of Lewiston, NY, Henry F. Arigoni and his wife Patricia of Wilcox, and William P. Arigoni of Kersey; four grandchildren, Lynn Lynch, Christine Grace, Paul Arigoni, and Adam Arigoni; and seven great grandchildren, Ava Lynch, Guitano Lynch, Kylie Arigoni, Christopher Arigoni, Xavier Arigoni, Jade Greene, and Joseph Green. He is also survived by a sister, Adeline Caimi of Ridgway; and by two brothers-in-law, Robert Wildfire and Rudolph Pearson, both of Kersey.

In addition to his wife and parents, Henry was preceded in death by five sisters, Margaret Paloni, Jennie Longhi, Elizabeth Canal, Mary Bianchi, and Josephine Bianchi; and by two brothers, John and Frank Arigoni.

Henry was a member of the St. Boniface Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Kersey Eagles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the Fox Twp. Servicemen’s Burial Detail.  Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
