Grace W. McGill, 94, of 108 Irishtown Road, Fox Manor, Kersey, and formerly of Bucktail Road, St. Marys, passed away early Sunday morning, December 16, 2012 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born February 12, 1918 in Horton Twp., Elk County, daughter of the late Jesse and Esther Fischer Moyer. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey and Toby Schools. She was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company, Keystone Carbon Company and was a retired Tip Staff for the Elk County Court.
On May 14, 1938 in St. Marys, she married Charles J. McGill who preceded her in death on June 9, 1982.
She is survived by a son, Charles L. McGill and his wife Diane of Raleigh, NC; a son-in-law, Timothy Feldbauer and his wife Elaine of St. Marys; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Larson of Schroon Lake, NY.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Feldbauer; a grandson, Scott Feldbauer; three sisters, Madeline Fox, Belva Wayne and a sister in infancy; three brothers, Jesse Moyer, Jr., Ralph Moyer and Ivan Moyer; and by a special family friend, Vilmer “Boopsie” Buchheit.
Mrs. McGill was a member of the Toby United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Fox Twp. Senior Center. She enjoyed traveling and flowers.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Joni Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Brandy Camp Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
