Genevieve E. Cavalline, 91, of 111 Scotland Street, Dagus Mines, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at Pinecrest Manor, after an illness of the past year.
She was born February 26, 1925, in Dagus Mines, daughter of the late Luigi and Lena Petrini Agosti. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Boniface and Kersey High Schools. She was an employee of the former A & P Store and was a retired employee of Ayrshire Dairy Store, retiring after 16 years of service.
On November 16, 1943, in the St. Boniface Church, she married Guido “Teddy” Cavalline, who preceded her in death on August 24, 1981.
Genevieve is survived by a son, Theodore R. “Ted” Cavalline of Dagus Mines; a grandson, Ryan Cavalline of Kersey; a brother, Charles Agosti and his wife Bonnie of Dagus Mines; a sister-in-law, Marlene Agosti of St. Marys; and by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Struble; and by two brothers, Louis Agosti and a brother who passed away at birth.
Genevieve was a member of the St. Boniface Church, the Rosary Society, and the Dagus Mines American Legion Auxiliary. She was active in delivering Meals on Wheels and was an active member of the Fox Twp. Senior Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
