Franziska Leeb

Franziska Leeb, 97, of 126 Church Street, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 20, 2013, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 3, 1916, in Linz, Austria.  She had attended schools in Austria and had resided in St. Marys since 1959.  She was a retired employee of the Keystone Powdered Metal Company, retiring in 1981 after 21 years of service.

She is survived by a daughter, Roswitha “Rose” Cheatle of St. Marys; a granddaughter, Sabina Mason of Illinois; three great grandchildren, Brandon, Devin, and Alexander.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Snyder.

Fannie was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.  She was known for her great cooking and willingness to share it with everyone.  She loved learning new things; always ready to go on a trip.  Her flowers in her gardens and on her porch were her joy.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, May 24, 2013, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA  15857.
