Frances Ann “Pam” Yeager, 85, of 155 Russ Lane, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born September 7, 1928 in Kersey, daughter of the late Francis and Veronica Steinlehner Pontzer. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Public High School. She was a retired employee of the former Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1989.
On September 20, 1952 in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Gilbert F. “Gib” Yeager, who preceded her in death on February 20, 2013.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy DePanfilis and her husband Michael of Ridgway, Pamela Hunt and her husband Wayne of St. Marys, and Kathy Samick and her husband Ron of St. Marys; two sons, Timothy Yeager and his wife Kathy of Roswell, GA and James Yeager and his wife Jan of New York; nine grandchildren, Katie DePanfilis, Ross DePanfilis, Alex DePanfilis, Megan Brennen, Erika Yeager, Christopher Yeager, Stephanie Yeager, Caitlin Yeager, and Andrew Yeager.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Schatz.
Mrs. Yeager was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading mystery novels, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Private funeral services were held Tuesday morning, June 24, 2014 at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home. Interment was in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
