Florence Rita Arigoni

Florence Rita Arigoni, 90, of 384 Main Street, Kersey, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home after a brief illness.

She was born January 27, 1923 in Kersey, daughter of the late Alois and Charlotte Benson Wildfire.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Kersey Schools.  She was a former employee of the St. Marys School District.

On July 29, 1949 in the St. Boniface Church, she married Henry L. Arigoni, who survives.  She is also survived by a daughter, Ann Winans and her husband Ken of Independence, VA; three sons, James L. Arigoni and his wife Kathleen of Lewiston, NY, Henry F. Arigoni and his wife Patricia of Wilcox and William P. Arigoni of Kersey; four grandchildren, Lynn Lynch, Christine Grace, Paul Arigoni and Adam Arigoni; four great grandchildren, Ava Lynch, Guitano Lynch, Kylie Arigoni and Christopher Arigoni; and a brother, Robert Wildfire and his wife Diane of Kersey.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Pearson, Alice Wildfire, Anna Freeburg and a sister in infancy; and seven brothers, Carl, Ralph, Francis, Jerome, Alan Wildfire, and in infancy, Robert and Alois Wildfire.

Mrs. Arigoni was a member of the St. Boniface Church and the Rosary Altar Society.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Due to the renovations of the St. Boniface Church, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. James Faluszczak officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
