Eric R. Long, 44, of Denver, CO and a former resident of St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at his residence.
He was born March 4, 1970 in St. Marys, son of the late Georgia Erich Long, who passed away May 22, 2008 and George R. Long, who survives of St. Marys. He was a 1988 graduate of St. Marys Area High School and a 1992 graduate of Penn State University. He was currently employed as a systems engineer.
He was married to Sheila Long, who survives of Colorado. He is also survived by a daughter, Hailey Long of Colorado; three sisters, Debi Long of Tomball, TX, Tami Elliott of Loveland, OH, and Tracie Steinert and her husband Joe of Cincinnati, OH; a brother, Terry Long of Morgan Hills, CA; and by many nieces and nephews.
Eric enjoyed hiking, camping, traveling, hunting, and anything outdoors.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
