Elizabeth J. Seelye

Elizabeth J. “Betty” Seelye, 92, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Spruce Street, St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy.

She was born April 2, 1931, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Grasser Seelye. She was a lifelong resident of St. Marys and attended St. Marys Parochial School and Central Catholic High School.

Betty is survived by four nephews: Paul, Joseph, Timothy, and Peter Struble; nine great-nieces and nephews; four great-great nephews; and several cousins.

Along with her parents, Betty was preceded in death by four sisters: Marion Seelye, Dorothy Struble, Irene Seelye, and Mary in infancy; and one brother, Harold Seelye.  Elizabeth will be missed, dearly.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, Pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

A big thank you to the staff at Pinecrest for being so good to Betty in her long stay there.  Betty always had a smile for everyone.
