Edith Patricia “Patty” Uhl, 81, of 254 Thompson Hill Road, Kersey, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born July 14, 1940, in Kersey, daughter of the late Glen and Marguerite Sidelinger Thompson. Patty was a lifelong resident and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1958.
On May 23, 1958, in New York, Patty married William A. Uhl, who survives. She is also survived by her two daughters: Denise Smeal of Houtzdale and Roxanne Gerg and her fiancé Tom Anderson of Kersey; four sons: Kevin Uhl and his companion Patti Jo Taylor of Kersey; Cameron Uhl and his wife Debra of Kersey; Jeffrey Uhl and his wife Jackie of Falls Creek; and Travis Uhl and his wife Amanda of Grafton, WV; 18 grandchildren: Corey Uhl, Craig Uhl, Kristin Uhl, Bryan Uhl, Joshua Uhl, Jessica Bolden, Brandon Uhl, Michael Smeal, Daniel Smeal, Nicole Alleman, Adam Gerg, Shawn Gerg, Alicia Gerg, Elizabeth Uhl, Noah Uhl, Jeffrey Uhl, Caleb Uhl, and Chelsea Knarr; 32 great-grandchildren; her sister, Dorothea Jeanne Sheeley; and by her brother, Roger David Thompson of Kersey.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her brother, Glenn Theodore Thompson.
Patty was a member of the Toby United Methodist Church and was attending the First United Methodist Church in St. Marys. She was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group for many years. She also volunteered for Cub Scouts for over 40 years, receiving the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America, and was a former Girl Scout leader. Patty was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a former EMT for the Fox Township Ambulance Association.
Patty enjoyed doing crafts and was skilled at decorating cakes, particularly wedding and birthday cakes. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service to be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. J. Tim Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
