Earl J. Keller, 77, of 146 Rambler Road, St. Marys, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born December 28, 1936, in St. Marys, son of the late John and Ellen Pavlock Keller. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1955. He was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company and retired from Carbone of America.
On June 8, 1968, in the St. Boniface Church, he married Donna Copella and she survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Missy Hasselman and her husband David of Kersey; two grandchildren, Kelsey Hasselman and Adam Hasselman; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Joanna Angelo and her husband David of Kersey and Carol Brunner and her husband Jerry of Surprise, AZ.; and two brothers, Richard Keller of St. Marys and Jerome Keller and his wife Peg of Camillus, NY.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Matson Shaffer; and by a brother, James Keller.
Mr. Keller was a member of the Queen of the World Church and had served in the U.S. Army.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Richard Allen, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
