Dorothy Carolyne Duke Gray Dollinger

Dorothy Carolyne Duke Gray Dollinger, 87, of 891 Shelvey Summit Road, Ridgway, and formerly of Main Street, Kersey, passed away Thursday evening, September 19, 2013, at her home following a lengthy illness.

She was born June 2, 1926 in Goshen, PA, daughter of the late Daniel Duke and Ada Shovestul.  She was a graduate of Clearfield High School, Class of 1944, and had been a resident of the area since 1944.  She was a retired employee of Exotic Metals (Metaldyne).

On October 14, 1943, she married William Gray, who preceded her in death on February 14, 1966.  On February 3, 1967, she married James “Paddle” Dollinger, who preceded her in death on March 12, 1997.

She is survived by four daughters, Nancy Summerfield and her husband Gary of Anderson, SC, Dorothy Wickwire of Ridgway, Bette Gornati and her husband Robert of Kersey, and Lisa Dush and her husband Richard of Ridgway; 10 grandchildren, Shawn Summerfield, Eric Summerfield, Amy DeYarmon, Dawn Gardner, Bill Wickwire, Raymond Wickwire, James Wickwire, Toby Saline, Max Dush, and Matthew Dush; 18 great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Mae Short and her husband Donald of Kersey and Royetta Goss-Evans of Clearfield; two brothers, Paul Washburn and his wife Doris of Ridgway and John Owens and his wife Doreen of Clearfield; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Dush; two sisters, Ethel Louise Washburn and Nellie Ogden; and two brothers, Joseph Washburn Sr. and Lee Duke.

Mrs. Dollinger was a member of the Kersey United Methodist Church and the Fox Twp. Senior Center.  She was a former member of the Fox Twp. Firemen’s Auxiliary and was an avid gardener.

Funeral services will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday, September 23, 2013, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Karen Trask officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday, September 22, 2013, from 4:00 till 7:00 PM.
