Donald P. Lenze, 61, of 368 Toby Road, Kersey, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born August 1, 1953 in St. Marys, son of the late Albert and Mary Martha Bauer Lenze. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1972. He was an employee of the Keystone Powdered Metal Company.
On January 31, 1981, in the St. Boniface Church, he married Suzanne M. Vollmer, who survives. He is also survived by three daughters, Dawn Rice and her husband Bill of Pittsburgh, Katherine Sarginger and her husband Chris of St. Marys, and Melissa Orner and her husband Jamie of Emporium; two sons, Paul J. Lenze and his wife Alison of Erie and Kenneth S. Lenze and Debra Erich of Kersey; three grandchildren, Alexis Rose Sarginger, Jacob Thomas Sarginger, and Violet Marie Rice; a sister, Mary Zelt and her husband Jerome of St. Marys; a brother, David Lenze and his wife Suzanne of St. Marys; his mother-in-law, Patricia Vollmer of Kersey; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Lenze.
Mr. Lenze was a member of the Fox Twp. Sportsmen’s Club. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed gardening and being with his children and family.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Services to be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.
