Dolores M. Kriegish, 93, of 122 Reserve Road, St. Marys, and formerly of Water Street, Johnsonburg, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at her residence, after a lengthy illness.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Whitmore, PA, daughter of the late Walter and Amy McGonigle Matha. Dolores was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1943. She was an employee of the former Market Basket in Johnsonburg and was Methodist by faith.
On July 14, 1948, in St. Leo’s Church in Ridgway, Dolores married Joseph F. Kriegish, who preceded her in death on February 4, 1978.
Dolores is survived by two daughters, Lynne Kriegish of Pittsburgh and Jill C. Salter and her husband John of St. Marys; one son, Stephen Kriegish and his wife JoAnne of Hendersonville, TN; three grandchildren, Ian Kriegish, Joshua Salter, and Abbey Lynne Salter; and by one great grandson, Cooper Kriegish. Also surviving are two sisters, Louise Larson of Connecticut and Peggy Mitchell and her husband Phil of Ridgway; and by two brothers, Richard Matha and his wife Loretta of Ridgway and Robert Matha and his wife Susie of Apollo.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dolores was preceded in death by; three sisters, Betty Birch, Dormilee Fuestal, and Nancy Rosetti; and by two nieces, Amy Fuestal and Melissa Howard.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ridgway on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Roger A. Peterson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, August 24, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
