Dennis W. Bauer, 79, of 230 Evers Avenue, St. Marys, passed away peacefully Monday, June 8, 2026 at Pinecrest Manor.
He was born November 4, 1946, in St. Marys, son of the late Wilfred Bauer and Jean Bricen Lander. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Bennett’s Valley Schools. Denny was employed at Penn Highlands Elk for twenty-six years, retiring in 2015.
On April 28, 1978, in Emporium, Denny married Pauline Knight, who survives. They were blessed to share forty-eight years of marriage.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his daughter, Kelly Bauer (Russ Manners) and his sons, Kristopher Bauer (Gwen), Michael Bauer, and Roger Bauer; six grandchildren: Megan, Gracie, Jaxon, Abigail, Allison, and Claire; a sister, Darlene Lander; and a brother Donald Bauer (Sue).
Denny will be remembered for a life filled with simple joys, strong family bonds, and a passion for classic rock and Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Steelers. He found peace and happiness in nature, especially along the Clarion River and at the beach, where he cherished time spent relaxing and making memories with loved ones.
Above all else, Denny treasured his family. The moments shared with children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends brought him his greatest happiness. His love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 3:00PM.
Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday, June 15, 2026 from 2:00PM until the time of service.
