David R. Decker

David R. Decker, 66, of 631 East Joseph Road, St. Marys, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2025, at Penn Highlands Elk, after a brief illness.

He was born May 5, 1959, in St. Marys, son of the late Richard E. and Phyllis Wiesner Decker. Dave was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, as well as a graduate of Penn State Williamsport. He was a retired employee of West Penn Power, retiring in April 2025 after 44 years of service.

On May 2, 1996, in the Poconos, Dave married Amy M. Daniels, who survives. They were blessed to share 29 years of marriage.

He is also survived by his sons: Kevin Decker (Leah) of Lansing, MI and Jason Decker (Meghan) of Gibsonia, PA; four grandchildren: Elliott, Norman, Anna, and Noah Decker; two brothers: Dennis Decker (Barbara) of Sylvania, OH and Daniel Decker (Linda) of St. Marys; and by several nieces and nephews.

Dave was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, where he formerly served as a lector and volunteered with SHAPE bingo. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Bavarian Hills Golf Course. In his earlier years, Dave enjoyed being in a bowling league at the CMF. More than anything, Dave loved his family and spending time with them.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral and committal services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
