Daniel S. McKinney

Daniel S. McKinney, 54, of 1070 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at Penn Highlands Brookville.

He was born November 7, 1971, in St. Marys, son of the late William McKinney and Nancy Brown McKinney, who survives.  He was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1989 and spent the majority of his working career at Penn Pallet; he also honorably served in the military from 1989 to 1996.

In addition to his loving mother, Daniel is survived by his sister, Jennifer McKinney; his brother, Patrick McKinney (Cassie Bullers); five nieces and nephews: Derek McKinney (Shannon McKinney), Brady McKinney (Randy Ross), Josh McKinney (Autumn Auman), Rachel Snyder, and Gracie McKinney; four great-nieces and nephews; two aunts: Dorothy McKinney and Betty Askey; and an uncle, Larry Brown (Jean).

He had a lifelong love of cars and could spend hours talking about engines, classic models, and the joy of the open road. Known for his quick wit and great sense of humor, he had a way of making people smile no matter the situation.

He will be remembered for his humor, loyalty, and the happiness he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

Funeral services and full military rites for Daniel will be held privately by his family.
